TOP 10 AT TWOPEAS TODAY

I've been updating my gallery over at TwoPeas lately (coz' for a time, I kinda neglected it). Thanks so much for choosing this one as part of the Top 10 Most Voted today.

Journaling: My travel buddy! I love it so much that all my trip wardrobe were coordinated based on this pair.

Supplies: Made using Cocoa Daisy's October Kit. papers: October Afternoon, GCD Studios, 7Gypsies, My Mind's Eye, Overlay: Hambly, Pearls: Prima Marketing, Stickers: Prima Marketing, Jenni Bowlin Studio, Stamps: Autumn Leaves, Mist: Maya Road, Pen: Uni-ball, Ink: Tsukineko, Rub-on: Making Memories, Button: Chatterbox, Ribbons: May Arts, Fancy Pants, Paint: Pebeo, Other: Acetate, Cuttlebug Chipboard diecut (&), thread, staple.

The jelly shoes I featured are from Grendha, really comfy (and reasonably priced too!!!). On the other hand, the layout itself is my entry to Vee's Sketch Challenge over at Cocoa Daisy's Crop. I had fun playing with the CD October Kit - - sooo much that I have done three more (apart from this one). Will just share them with you guys over the next few days. ;o)

In another note, my big exam is already done and over with!!! Hoooraayyyyy!!!! Hopefully that means more scrapping time for me - - I said to myself this will be the last time I'll be memorizing formulas, I think I'm too old for that already!!! LOL. Hopefully also, I'll get to visit everyone's blogs and see what you gals have been up to while I'm busy studying.

Thanks for looking and for voting. To view my layout over at TwoPeas, click here.

NOW IT CAN BE TOLD...

Photobucket

... that I made it to Buzz and Blooms' 2010 Design Team!!!! Holding the news was soooo hard, the only person I told it to was my sister coz' my hubby for sure would not understand why I was screaming and jumping up and down!!! I'm in chipboard heaven!!!!

Of all the embellishments, I really like raw chipboards because you can be creative with them - - use them with paints, inks, mists, glitter glues, pens, anything or just use them raw - - it's all up to you. Plus, you all guys know that I'm addicted to BNB's cute little birdie (see him here, here, here and here)- - hhhmmm, shall I take it that he likes me too? LOL.

And oohhhh, there are three more Pinays on the team - - Cookie, Bjay and Mia - - so here's a special woot, woot! to them also. ;o)

Thanks so much Buzz and Bloom for the wonderful opportunity. To see who else made it on the team, click here. I shall be updating my side bar to include the blog links of all these wonderful talented ladies later.

Thanks for sharing my joy. Wish me luck on my new role.

ANOTHER CHRISTMAS CARD

Played again with my MME papers (these were part of the kit from MLA/Scrapbookshawaii's Scrapjam last October, my first card is here) just to fight off boredom...

Supplies: Papers: My Mind's Eye, Paint: Making Memories, Pebeo, Glitter glue: Ranger, Ink: Clearsnap, Pen: Uni-ball, Other: Blings.

Used my Stickles and acrylic paints to create that snowy background. Adhered blings also for that added texture.

Thanks for looking.

P.S. When you take an exam and don't know the answer and you have a, b, c and d to choose, which one will you pick? Is there like a rule of sorts with choosing that letter having the highest probability of getting a correct answer? Let me know please, I'm sure as hell that will come handy on Saturday. LOL.

SOUL MARKINGS

A new challenge is already up over at AAM with the prompt “ What this mark means to me”. Initially, I had a hard time thinking what my entry will be - - I don't have tats (too afraid of needles!) or scars (that have significant stories) on my body, thank God (and moisturizers!!!) no wrinkles on my face too!!! I thought of making a layout about having stretch marks, the scars of motherhood, but I don't have the artsy preggy photo for it (too bad I haven't discovered scrapbooking when I was still pregnant with my kids!).

So I looked again at the pictures that I already have and came up with this:

Journaling:
“I am the captain of my soul. I can go wherever I want, whenever I please!” I whispered to myself as I took a picture of my footprints on Patong Beach’s sandy shore.

Aaahh, Phuket. Who would have thought that I’d be here together with my college girlfriends? Life is indeed sweet.

I picked a stick, doodled on the sand and took another picture.

A wave crashed into the shore, and my footprints and my markings were all but washed away.

Supplies: Papers: Fancy Pants, Handmade paper: All About Scrapbooking, Alphabet chipboards: BasicGrey, American Crafts, Stickers: K & Company, Ticket:Jenni Bowlin Studio, Flower and swirl blings: Prima Marketing, Ink: Ranger, Clearsnap, Stamp: Ranger, Pen: Uni-ball, Border punch: Fiskars, Other: Gesso, date stamp.

I love the teared look of this handmade paper!

Note to self: gesso over pictures does not stick too much. Good thing I had a handy white Uni-ball Signo to touch up those missed stamped parts.

Fell in love with this Prima rose flower the first time I saw it!

Hope you likey and play along with us over at AAM! To view the takes of my co-DTs, click here.

P.S. My layout is a lift of uber-awesome Ronda’s “My Other Kids” layout. ;o) Made me bring out those swirl blings which I have kept for a very long time!!!

A 30 MINUTE LAYOUT

I know I'd get myself into trouble - - I should be studying - - but I couldn't resist to scrap!!!

So as a compromise, I said to myself I'll just make a quickie one. The solution: Bring out those mists and that mask which has been unopened for several months already!!!

Journaling: Don't grow up too fast that I might miss it.

Supplies: Made using Cocoa Daisy's October Kit. Papers: My Mind's Eye, Jillibean Soup, Jenni Bowlin Studio, October Afternoon, Stamp, alphabet stickers and : Prima Marketing, Mists: Maya Road, Tattered Angels, Tree mask: Tattered Angels, Pearl Concho: All About Scrapbooking, Felt flower: Chatterbox, Pen: Uni-ball, Ink: Clearsnap, Tsukineko, Other: Cardstock, watercolor pencils.

Just a close-up of my dear daughter - - these 1x1 photos are actually extras I have for her school needs.

Thanks for looking.

ADORNIT's MAKE IT MERRY BLOG HOP

We at Sketches: Creatively Yours are part of the blog hop over at Adornit!!! The blog hop will showcase lots of handmade holiday creativity - - and here's my Make it Merry contribution:

Supplies: Papers and ribbo: My Mind's Eye, Paint: Pebeo, Glittered Adhesive and liquid pearls: Ranger, Ink: Clearsnap, Other: Cardstock.

See the paint smudges on the side outlines of the cards? Truth is, (they were supposed to be doodled dots. I accidentally smeared the lower side while the paint is still wet, hence I just smeared both paints. Turned out better - - love those happy little accidents!

Textures galore - - paint, Stickles and Liquid pearls!!!
